Imagine a community within our society that is subject to authorities, obedient, and ready to do whatever is good.  A community that slanders no one, which is peaceable and considerate, and which shows gentleness to all people without discrimination.  That community would shine like stars as it held to the word of life and held out the Word of Life. Christmas Kindness

And when He rose, He was no less kind. He has been kind to us in our sin and need. That kindness is intended to “lead you to repentance” says Paul (Romans 2:4). “Grace should make us so in love with God that we cannot stand whatever in our lives resoils us and offends Him.  Biblical grace makes us intolerant of evil in our lives.  The apostle here underscores this truth, saying the grace of God “trains us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions” (vss. 11, 12).  Grace – rightly perceived – compels holiness.”  Bryan Chappell

It was this: when false teachers increase, we must multiply the number of true teachers.  Titus was to appoint elders in every town (vs. 5), who would hold fast God’s reliable word, teach it faithfully and refute those who contradicted it (vs. 9).  Why?  Because of the number of rebellious people or deceivers (vs. 10).  So, the more false teachers there are, the more true teachers are needed.”  ~ John R.
