Helen Rifas

Helen Rifas, will return Sunday, September 8, and December 8, 2019 to Prosperity Church to play her harp for us.

She will begin playing at 9:45 AM, accompany all congregational singing, play for the offertory and again play after the service ends. Everyone is welcome to come worship with us and enjoy the harp music. 

Ms. Rifas earned degrees in music from Reed College and the University of Oregon School of Music.  She is currently principal harpist with the Winston-Salem and Greensboro symphonies, as well as symphonies in Salisbury and Greenville, South Carolina.  Ms. Rifas has been a member of the Wake Forest Consort, an early music ensemble, and the Blue Ridge Harp Ensemble. She performs with the Piedmont Chamber Trio (flute, cello and harp), Silver Strings (flute and harp) and the Silver and Strings Quartet (flute, harp, violin and viola).  Ms. Rifas is adjunct harp instructor at Wake Forest University and teaches Suzuki harp privately to students of all ages.
